Caledon Buccleuch to attend Biomass for Business Event in November 2009
Forestry Commission Scotland, working in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council and Scottish Enterprise, hosted a series of events promoting Biomass for Businesses. Tthe event in Haddo House, Methlick, Aberdeenshire was on Tuesday 17th November.

Second Round of Scottish Biomass Heat Scheme Announced
Twenty six projects across Scotland have been awarded a share of £1.6 million under the Scottish Biomass Heat Scheme to install biomass heating systems and district heating systems in small businesses like hotels and offices.
The news came as the second round of the Scottish Biomass Heat Scheme opened to applications from 20 May 2009.
An extra £1.3 million of European funding has been allocated - on top of the original £2 million, the total available under the Scheme is £3.3 million.
Scottish Biomass Heat Scheme Launched
On 6th October 2008, the Scottish Government launched its Renewable Energy Framework consultation and announced it would run a round of funding for biomass, specifically to encourage renewable heat use by businesses and in district heating demonstrators.
The new Scottish Biomass Heat Scheme is Scotland-wide, with funding of £2 million from April 2009 to March 2011. The Scheme will provide grants for installation of biomass heating systems in business premises and district heating demonstrators.
Energy Saving Scotland: Small Loans Scheme
The scheme provide loans from £1,000 to £100,000 at 0% fixed interest rate to help businesses install measures that reduce energy consumption or to install renewable energy technologies.
The scheme is funded by the Scottish Government and aims to support businesses that are looking to replace old and inefficient technology.

Caledon Buccleuch attended All-Energy 09. The All-Energy exhibition and conference is the UK’s largest event devoted to renewable energy. The ninth in the annual series was held in Aberdeen on 20 and 21 May 2009.

Caledon Buccleuch exhibited at two events in March, the UK Woodfuel Expo, Ignition 09, and the Scottish Renewables Annual Conference.
Ignition 09 took place in Gateshead on 11th & 12th March and the Scottish Renewables Annual Conference in Edinburgh on 18th & 19th March.
Biomass Energy helps Britain's newest university go green
The biomass (woodchip) boiler generates heat for distribution around the 35-acre campus at Craighall with a projected 75% reduction in carbon dioxide emission.
